Millie Donovan has moved up this year into the Youth Regional Championships which were held at the Inspire Pool in Luton, home of the popular TV show Splash. This year Millie achieved her biggest haul of Regional Events yet qualifying in no less than 5 events; 100m, 200m & 400m Freestyle as well as the 200m & 400m Individual Medley.

Unlike the BAGCAT championships all these events are held over the same weekend. Millie performed well over the weekend with finishing times of 2:45.77 for the 200m Individual Medley, 5:50.22 for the 400m Individual Medley, 2:21.51 for the 200m Freestyle & 4:59.81 for the 400m Freestyle. The pick of the swims for Millie has to be the 100m Freestyle finishing in a time of 1:05.39.
Head Coach Paul Wollaston said “With this being Millie’s first year at the Youth Regional Championships it was really great to see her qualify for so many events and having some strong swims over the weekend”.
